Tech Access Labs

Safe, supervised spaces where youth can access technology, devices, and the internet for learning.

DESCRIPTION

Tech Access Labs provide students with hands-on access to computers, tablets, and high-speed internet in a safe, supportive environment. Youth can complete schoolwork, explore educational resources, practice digital skills, or work on personal projects. Unlike formal lessons, these labs focus on access and opportunity, giving students the tools they need to navigate technology independently while building confidence in digital environments.

Life Skills Lab teaches practical routines that help youth feel capable in both personal and home settings. Students learn everyday essentials—like planning tasks, organizing spaces, reading simple forms, cooking basic meals, and managing small responsibilities. The approach stays calm, hands-on, and supportive, giving young people confidence in managing daily life without feeling overwhelmed.

Smart Choices Sprint is an interactive experience where students work independently or in small groups to solve everyday financial scenarios such as planning a week’s budget, handling unexpected costs, or comparing spending choices. The challenge mixes creativity with real-life decision-making, helping youth understand how money choices shape their confidence and independence. It encourages teamwork, calm problem solving, and practical thinking they can carry into their daily lives.
